We are friends!
Jackie and Kali founded The Power of Friendship in 2025, on National High Five Day, with the aim of enhancing their work and expanding their impact on the children and families within their community.
Jackie is a born-and-raised Bainbridge Islander whose studies have taken her from the University of Washington, to Ecuador, Spain, and eventually Argentina, where she received her Association Montessori Internationale certification as a Montessori Primary Guide. In 2018, Jackie founded Bainbridge Island Montessori, where she continues to serve as the Primary Guide and director, in addition to being the sole owner.
Kali is an interdisciplinary professional with experience in early childhood education, theatre, and English Language Arts tutoring. Since graduating with a BA in English Literature, she has focused her continuing education around socioemotional development, social psychology, trauma-informed care, and neurodivergent-affirming support systems within in the interactionist (biopsychosocial) model of disability, particularly for those with ADHD and autism.
